Hi! I think that your view and argument on the possible points occluded in Tsumuri's argument is very insightful and very much different than the previous posts that I've read. I think it's interesting how you note that - yes- while these young women experienced severe hardships while working in these factories, many of them didn't see themselves as victims, but rather as heroic to both their households and nation. Like the professor stated, I think it's quite difficult for authors to explain both perspectives without focusing on one too much. Nonetheless, I agree with you that these women shouldn't solely be portrayed as victims, but as significant to their households and Japan's nation-building process.
