Hi! I found it very interesting AND important that you recognized that these young Japanese women oftentimes weren't forced to work within the factories and often went on their own accord. But even then, the fact that these women were deceived and treated horribly while working shouldn't be overlooked. I think your proposition that lack of education was a driving force within this system is interesting. I also think that it's very unfortunate that history tends to repeat itself in both incidents that you mentioned - it was an intriguing comparison to note, nonetheless. Did both of these incidents stem from these young women wanting to supply for their households, but made to seem it was for the nation-state itself (and for the sake of nationalism)? I really enjoyed reading your post! Have a nice weekend! :)
